Pictorico Ink Jet Media today announced the expansion of its offerings for wide-format inkjet printers, as well as a new printing service for digital photographers. As an increasing number of professional and amateur photographers print their images on inkjet printers, the ability to select from a variety of inkjet media substrates and sizes is becoming more important to the creative process, the company says. So, to address this need, Pictorico, which currently has eight substrates on the market, is adding seven wide-format rolls to its line of premium specialty papers. The new rolls, ranging in width from 17" to 42", extend the list of available sizes of Pictorico's most popular products: Premium Photo Gallery Hi-Gloss White Film, Premium WaterColor Card Stock, Premium PolySilk Fabric, Premium Canvas and Premium OHP Transparency Film.

The wide-format rolls, which will be available for purchase on the Pictorico Web site beginning Jan. 2, include:

• Premium WaterColor Card Stock 36" x 66', $259

Pictorico Studio, a new wide-format printing service from Pictorico, addresses the needs of photographers who choose to output their work professionally. Scheduled to launch on Feb. 1, Pictorico Studio will offer a variety of services including scanning, image enhancement, pre-press and printing. Photographers using the new service will have access to custom sizes of a variety of Pictorico Ink Jet Media products. These include Premium PhotoGallery Hi-Gloss White Film; Premium Photo Glossy Paper; Premium WaterColor Card Stock; Premium Canvas; and Premium PolySilk Fabric. Basic program costs are as follows: normal pre-press is $200 per image, which includes two color proofs; printing is $0.23 per square inch; other services, such as scanning, are also available and priced separately.
