Harald Heim has released version 1.51 of Plugin Commander, a
Windows-based utility for organizing filters. It allows users
to manage and preview a plugin collection, with the ability
to deactivate rarely used plugins and define how effects will
appear in the host application. With Plugin Commander, users
can download and modify Filter Factory plugins and apply Photoshop-compatible
plugins to images, batch process images, display effects as
thumbnails and create plugins.

Harald Heim's
Plugin Commander
The latest
version offers a number of bug fixes,
including some icons being made transparent to adapt to different
window colors, a fix for resizing windows, displaying hidden
files and a new, smaller setup.
The Pro
edition also received several fixes. These include:
- The plugins
included with Photoshop 6 can be executed, applied and previewed
now;
- The plugins
included with Photoshop 4, 5 and 5.5 work correctly now, even
if plugin.dll isn't present in your system folder;
- Improved
plugin crash protection;
- Bug removed
that caused problems when previewing in FFL View;
- 'Create
FLL' and 'Convert' from FFL View work correctly again;
- No crash
anymore when working with the 'virtual filters' in Plugin
View in Photoshop Mode.
The "lite"
version of Plugin Commander is available for free. The Pro edition
costs $49.95. For more information, visit http://www.thepluginsite.com.
