A Lowly Apprentice Production (ALAP) has started shipping three
new page layout and publishing tools, as well as an update to
InBooklet. InBooklet is an Adobe InDesign plugin for page imposition.
The new version adds expanded printing capabilities to allow 2-up
printer spreads and 3-up and 4-up consecutive pages from Adobe
InDesign. InBooklet allows users to impose pages from a single
InDesign document with full control over margins, gaps, bleed,
creep and crossover traps. InBooklet 1.01 is a free update from
1.0.

The new plugins coming from ALAP include ItemMarks, InPrint and
Nudge. ItemMarks, a plugin for Adobe InDesign, allows users to
create a range of crop marks, color bars, registration marks and
text slugs on an individual object.
InPrint is a tool for converting InDesign objects or pages into
formats for Web or print applications. It allows users to marquee
an area or the whole InDesign page and save the selection as a
file or print the selection. InPrint supports saving files as
Acrobat 4.0, EPS, Pre press File, CompuServe GIF, Scitex CT, TIFF
and JPEG.
Finally, Nudge is a plugin for Adobe InDesign that provides the
user with a palette to nudge items in eight directions. Rotation
of items can also be accomplished in clockwise and counter-clockwise
directions.
InBooklet, ItemMarks and InPrint run $49.99 each. Nudge (also
called NudgeIt) runs $39.99. All plugins are available for Mac
and Windows. For more information, visit http://www.alap.com.
