Adobe today
announced Font Folio 9.0 collection, which adds approximately
500 additional fonts to Font Folio 8.0's 2,500 typefaces. These
include 190 cross-platform fonts developed by Adobe and Microsoft
in OpenType format. The set also includes ATM Deluxe, the commercial
version of Adobe Type Manager that's used for rasterizing typefaces
on screen and organizing fonts on the system.
For Windows users, all typefaces in Font Folio 9.0 can be installed
using the font control panel in Windows 2000 Professional and
Server, which now includes native PostScript font support.
The new typefaces cover a wide range of styles, from traditional
text typefaces to ornamental, handwriting and script typefaces.
Several of the fonts also contain the Euro monetary symbol, and
the collection includes a set of special Adobe Euro fonts. All
packages provide multiple language versions, including French
and German.
Font Folio
9.0 includes a new Adobe Type Reference Book and a Typography
Primer.
Adobe Font Folio 9.0 is for Mac OS 7.6 through 9.x, Windows 95/98,
Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0. It carries an estimated
street price of $8,999 for a license that allows users to install
the fonts on 20 workstations and permanently download them to
two output devices.
Adobe Font Folio is a collection from foundries such as Agfa Monotype,
ITC, Linotype, MvB Design and LetterPerfect, as well as Adobe
Originals and new OpenType fonts. To view the full Font Folio
typeface collection, including new designs, or for more information
