Announces New Digital Cameras
3.3 megapixel model to sell for $599

Toshiba today
announced its new lineup of digital cameras, ranging from the
$249, 1.3 megapixel PDR-M11 to the $599, 3.3 megapixel PDR-M65.
The cameras will be on display beginning next week at the PMA
show in Orlando beginning Feb. 11.
Toshiba's new lineup includes:
- The PDR-M11,
with a 1.3 megapixel CCD image sensor priced at $249. The model,
targeted toward novices, includes a USB interface, SmartMedia
storage, a fixed glass lens (f2.8/f8.0) and resolutions of 1,280
x 960.
- Priced
at $349, the PDR-M21 is a 2.1-megapixel digital camera equipped
with a 2x digital zoom, SmartMedia storage and a USB interface.
Targeted more toward professionals, this model includes a six-element
autofocus lens (f3.0/f8.0) and produces images up to 1,600 x
1,200.
- The PDR-M61
($399) offers a 2.3 megapixel CCD that is able to deliver photo-
images at resolutions as high as 1,792 x 1,200. It includes
USB connectivity, SmartMedia storage and an all-glass 38 mm/35
mm equivalent lens with a 3x optical zoom and macro capabilities.
- The PDR-M65
is a 3.3 megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom for $599. It
also includes a USB interface and SmartMedia storage and can
capture images up to 2,048 x 1,536. It also has a five-mode
automatic flash.
