Video Tutorial: Take a Shortcut
Getting around Adobe InDesign the quick way!

by Deke McClelland

There's one sure way to tell if someone is a "power user" of any application: whether or not they make use of keyboard shortcuts. In this clip from "Total InDesign," Deke McClelland demonstrates how InDesign gives you the ability to edit the built-in keyboard shortcuts. He begins by pointing out the fact that the "Edit Shortcuts" command under InDesign's Edit menu is lacking a keyboard shortcut itself. Deke sets out to rectify this, and in the process, give a thorough explanation of this dynamic feature. He even shows those converting to InDesign from Quark XPress how they can ease the transition by loading a predefined set of Quark shortcuts.
