In the Timeline double click the Star Base (Rotation) layer to go into its sub comp.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]Currently the Sub Comp has no duration. Drag the Star Base (Rotation) Composition out to 1 second. The Medium_Yellow 01_Star.pdf layer will automatically change its duration to match.

Click on the Medium_Yellow 01_Star.pdf layer in the Star Base (Rotation) Composition and press the R key to bring up the Rotation Properties for this layer.

Make sure the Timeline Indicator is at the beginning of the Timeline by pressing the Home key. Create an initial keyframe for this property by clicking on the Stopwatch Icon next to the Rotation Property.

Now press the End key to take you to the end of the composition. To change the Rotation amount, you will need to click Transform Tab and dial in the new rotation amount. I chose –360 so the star will rotate one complete revolution in one second. A new keyframe is automatically created in the Timeline.

Before we leave this composition, we need to make the Star Base (Rotation) Composition a looping animation. Click on the Star Base (Rotation) Composition in the Timeline window.

At the bottom of the Timeline window click on the Loop Movie Clip Icon.

Use the Movie Clip Menu back arrow to move back to the Base Composition.
