The Kodak V570 digital camera is the first of its kind that sports dual lenses in the same unit. That is right, this point and shoot digital camera features a standard lens as well as a 5X (39-117mm) optical zoom lens. Two all glass, Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon lenses are incorporated into this slightly larger than business card-sized digital camera. It incorporates Kodak's new Retina dual lens technology to achieve the ultra wide angle (23mm equivalent) and 5X optical zoom range.

Features and Specs
The camera can capture images at up to 5 megapixels as well as VGA quality 30 frames per second MPEG-4 video with sound. It captures either to 32MB of internal memory or SD memory cards. It features a 2.5-inch LCD display and can capture images in up to five image resolutions in the JPEG/Exif v.2.21 file format: 5MP, 4.4MP, 4.0MP, 3.1MP, and 1.8MP. The V570 captures in Apple's QuickTime video format 640x480 pixel resolution at 30 fps, and 320x240 pixel resolution at 30fps. As with most digital cameras in this price range, it does not capture to the Raw file format. It also lacks an optical viewfinder.

The V570 also employs anti shake technology to help mitigate shaking which invariably occurs when digital cameras get smaller in size. the aperture at ultrawide is f/2.8. The 3X zoom features f/3.9 at the wide setting and f/4.4 at the telephoto setting. The shutter speed range is 8-1/1448/second. It features through the lens auto-focus, multi-zone autofocus and center auto focus. Auto focus control is single AF and continuous AF.

The V570 also features a viewable histogram (live view and review), built in flash (auto, off, fill, digital red eye reduction) with a 2.6-10.2 ft flash range at ISO 200, Ultra wide lens mode; 2-7.2 ft. flash range at ISO 200, wide lens mode; and 2-6.6 ft. at ISO 200 telephoto mode. You can also take up to three photographs and stitch them in the camera to create a single panoramic shot.

What's in the box
Kodak is one of the few manufacturers that make it as easy as possible for those who want to work with their photos on the computer to get them into the computer. As with most all Kodak models, the V570 comes with the EasyShare Photo Frame Dock 2, which acts as a transfer device for the images, a digital photo frame, and a charger for the battery all in one unit, USB and AV cables for connecting to the computer or a TV to view images off the camera, rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, 5V AC adapter with power cord for in camera battery charging, carry strap, camera case, and Kodak's EasyShare software, one of the most intuitive applications for digital camera users of any type.
