"We are very excited to have received awards for both of these websites - Boston's Fourth of July represents a 33-year tradition that we are proud to be part of," said Mike Hadley, CEO and President, iCorps Technologies. "To also have our own site recognized as "outstanding" is quite an honor since we pride ourselves on creating websites that will transform a company's Web presence into an effective and growing extension of their business."
Judges commended iCorps' website design for Boston's Fourth of July, with one judge saying, "Great design and layout. Content was excellent. I got a great sense of the day's events as well as other value-added info I wasn't expecting, but enjoyed." This now totals five WebAwards iCorps has received in four years.
The Web Marketing Association (WMA) was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and corporate development on the World Wide Web. The WebAwards is the premier annual award competition that judges website development against an ever increasing Internet standard and against peers within their industry. Entries came from over 96 industries and 33 countries and were judged on several categories including innovation, design, ease of use, and technology.
"The WebAwards is different from other Web site award programs because we're not just a beauty pageant rewarding name recognition and design," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. "The goal of the WebAwards is to not only recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective Web sites on the Internet today, but also provide valuable feedback to entrants on how their sites stack up against their peers and industry standards of excellence."
